Vocabulary is an important part of this year's Social Studies course. We have begun learning our first list of vocabulary words.
Sacred is a word that we will use throughout the year. Today we talked about its definition (we also decided that it's an adjective, because it describes things). The students studied the photographs of six objects that are considered sacred by some people. They came up with a variety of interesting theories about why these objects might be considered to be infused with the spirit of god, or the spirit of goodness.
