Questions About Christianity

Explicit Questions:

Jake H.: Are there specific instructions for building a cathedral? Does it have to have certain things in it?

Annabelle: Did Jesus ever have any hobbies, or was he too busy/concerned with God's orders?

Matthew: Does the star at the top of a Christmas tree represent the star that led to Jesus's stable when he was born?

Ethan: How many different denominations of Christianity are there?

Partly Explicit and Partly Deep Questions:

Parthie and Joseph R.: Do you need a priest to lead a wedding or other kind of service in Christianity? Should you need a priest? Why or why not? If you don't need a priest, does the person need some sort of license to lead the service? What happens if someone who isn't a priest tries to lead a wedding or other Christian service?

Deep Questions:

Zion and Wyatt F.: Did God influence the writers of the Gospels to write the Gospels, or were they writing in their own free will? Is there anything that God would like to change about the Gospels or the other parts of the Bible?

Leah: Why did God decide to have a son instead of a daughter?

Brynne, Branch, MilaAgustinWyatt S. and Jaxson: Why is it that most Christians believe it is wrong to kill humans but not animals? Is it because they think humans were God's best or favorite creation? Does God want humans to be vegetarian? When a certain type of animal goes extinct, does God mean for that to happen? Can animals go to Heaven and Hell, and if so is it the same Heaven/Hell as the one for humans?

Hero: Why is it so hard for some people to believe that God is powerful enough to make the world in six actual days (not six metaphorical days)? Is it because some people underestimate God's power?

Liam G., Ella Grace, and Sarah: What does God look like? Does he look human or like something else? Is he even visible, or is he so powerful that you can't actually see him? Could we ask a person who has seen him?

Annabelle: Why does God make her angels do some things? Is she too busy? Do the angels have a free will?

Henry: Are people who are mentally disabled and cannot process the ideas of religion sent to Heaven by default? I would think yes. Most of the people I have met who are mentally disabled are incredibly kind and thoughtful.

Jack: What would Christians say about people marketing Jesus on billboards?

AmitySissieAugust, Violet and Sophia: Do you think that a concept like Hell is good or bad for people? Why? Why do Christians believe in Hell while others do not believe in it? Is it because the idea of Hell seems like it could be unfair? Does Hell actually exist? Should Hell exist? If Hell doesn't exist, then where do really bad people go after they die? Do they go to Heaven?

Dee
, Sawyer and Mac: When you die and you go to Heaven or Hell, do you still have a body? If you go to Heaven and your spouse goes to Hell, would you be able to visit them? Maybe for the holidays? Could you watch over them? Could you send each other letters?

Sarah: Did God expect certain things to happen? For example, did he know that humans were going to invent phones and computers?

Paige: Has God ever felt jealous? Has he ever wanted something he can't have, like world peace?

Liam B.: If God created the world in the first place, then why would he ever end it?
