Christianity: Questions and Sketches

As we continue to learn about the beliefs and rituals of Christianity, I am very impressed with your creativity and artistry:

You are also asking outstanding questions! Here are several examples:

Cam and Michael: How did the stories of the Bible get passed down for so many years? Were there pages of the original Bible that went missing, or that got destroyed? What language was the first copy of the Bible written in? What is the age of the oldest intact Bible? Where is the oldest copy of the Bible kept nowadays?

[These are great questions about the history of the Bible.

There are archaeologists and historians who specialize in figuring out the way that the Bible stories were transmitted through the centuries -- first by word of mouth, and later on paper.

I love that Cam and Michael are thinking about the topic of how we can be sure a religious text is the authentic text.]

Mason: Why do different types of Christians have different types of churches? Do the different types of churches matter, if everyone is worshiping the same God? Did a conflict between the different types of Christians [denominations!] cause the different styles?
