Examples of Strong Vocabulary Sentences

I have enjoyed reading your sentences that use the new vocabulary words in context. Many of you wrote sentences that are more authentic and more interesting.

Here are examples of your good work on the assignment:

Nick

Tim was kayaking in a fast paced river when a wave bounced him into the cold current. Struggling to swim, Tim sank deeper. By some miracle, a force pushed him to shore, saving his life.

Tomas had always admired Jeff's humble traits. He never would make anyone feel bad. "I want to be better!" Tomas exclaimed. "After practice you will be better, it just needs time," his father taught him.

Camila

"Today was a strange day. All my classmates' future selves came through the door and started flossing on their desks. I'm not sure whether to call this a miracle or a disaster!"

Mila

When Tim hit that home run for the team, he was humble about it. He said it was a team job.

When Molly was mad at her mom and had a lot of hate towards her, she had to find it in herself to forgive her mom.

Hero

I have met very few genuinely humble people in my life. Most of them have been slightly full of themselves. It is rare to come across a completely humble person.

The hymn was beautiful. The words described Jesus and how he saved us from suffering by suffering himself.

Children don't fast for as long as adults do because they need more feed to grow and they need to stay more hydrated than adults.

Finally, another epic vocabulary creation from your classmate Nico:

Today we, the authors of the Gospels, Jesus's disciples, humbly pray to our Lord for Jesus's resurrection and the salvation of mankind. We are willing to fast, gather nuns and monks from around the world of every denomination, spread hymns and parables, and we hope our good Lord forgives our sins. Please God, give us a miracle!

[[Note: An interesting fact is that the authors of the Gospels were not actually disciples of Jesus! They were different people who learned about his actions and his teachings.]]
