Amina’s Voice ends with a message of change. In literature, characters that change are called dynamic characters. Many of the characters in Amina’s Voice are dynamic characters. Choose two characters from the book, and explain how each of these characters changes.
Henry
One dynamic character is Amina. At the beginning of the book, she is shy, unforgiving and inexperienced, but throughout the book she became confident, forgiving, and experienced. Times when you could see drastic character development are when Emily forgives Amina for telling her secret and therefore Amina becomes more trustworthy. Another example is when the mosque got vandalized she became a lot more experienced and learned about the world. My final example is when Amina sang at the carnival. She realized not to overthink it.
My second character is Mustafa. He progresses by becoming more mature, develops a stronger work ethic, and becomes more charitable. My example of maturing is that he stays up late at night just to keep a promise. My example of developing a stronger work ethic is when he works nonstop just to be better at basketball, so he can be the star player on his team. My final piece of evidence for him being more charitable is he donated his money to help others enjoy basketball.
